Current commander Curt Tackett presented a plaque to Judge
Bill Watson
who, seven years began the program as it's first commander.
More than 58 young people and leaders are involved in the
weekly program.
AWANA is an international, Bible-centered youth ministry providing local
churches with weekly clubs and programs for pre-schooler's through high
schooler's.
Our goal is to reach boys and girls, and their families, with the gospel of
Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym AWANA comes from the first
letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15).

Our leaders, workers and commanders are busy during the two hours of fun and worship.
Listeners for the Sparks, Pals and Pioneers work with the youngsters as they
learn Bible verses
More bible verse learning and story telling time
Games are an important part of the program
At the end of the evening it award ceremonies for a job well done.
