When you meet Dr. Kevin Roberts, you’ll immediately notice his infectious energy and his deep love for God and people. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Kevin grew up in that community before earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University. He went on to pursue advanced theological training, completing both a Master of Divinity and a Master of Religious Education, and earned a Doctorate from Southern Baptist seminaries in Fort Worth, Texas, and Louisville, Kentucky.

Before joining Piney Flats, Kevin faithfully served churches across Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, and South Carolina. In 1997, he married Monique, a gifted servant of Christ whose own calling to ministry beautifully complements Kevin’s pastoral work. Together, they adopted their daughter, Mikayla, in 2002, forming a family rooted in faith and love.

Outside of ministry, Kevin enjoys working out at the gym, watching sports, and—most of all—spending time with family and friends. His greatest passion is knowing God and sharing
His love with both the church and people throughout the Tri-Cities area. 

Brian has been a faithful part of the Piney Flats First Baptist Church family for many years. He holds a Master of Arts in Christian Education (M.A.C.E.) from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and brings heart and experience to his ministry. Brian and his wife, Carol, enjoy life with their children and grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys walking their dog, Sadie, and golfing when he can. Brian also shares his musical gifts by playing trumpet in the church’s worship ministry.

Jacob and his wife of six years, Lacy, are proud attending members of Piney Flats First Baptist Church. They live in Bluff City, TN, with their beloved dog, Tucker. Jacob answered the call to serve the children of PFFBC in 2021 and officially joined the church staff in 2025. In addition to his passion for children's ministry, Jacob enjoys golfing and leads the church’s golf ministry group.

Ashley and her husband, Cory, have been married for seven years and live in Kingsport with their two children. Ashley has been faithfully serving at Piney Flats First Baptist Church for nine years and became an official staff member in 2024. She is passionate about music, enjoys cooking, and loves spending time with her family.

Rachel faithfully serves our church as our church secretary. She provides administrative support to the pastoral staff, helps coordinate daily operations, and ensures communication runs smoothly throughout the church. With a heart for service and a welcoming spirit, Rachel enjoys helping create an organized and friendly environment where members and visitors feel cared for.   In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and cheering them on from the sidelines as they pursue their dreams.
